FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

FINANCIAL AID ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for financial aid, you must be admitted to Western University and/or currently enrolled in an eligible Western Continuing Studies program.

OSAP

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a financial aid program that offers grants or loans for students enrolled in Post-Degree, Professional Development, or Micro-credential programs at Western Continuing Studies.

Eligibility Requirements 

To be eligible for OSAP funding you must be an Ontario resident who is:

• Canadian Citizen
• Permanent Resident
• Protected Person (Protected Person Status Document is required)

Enrollment 

After you’ve chosen a program, click register and checkout. If you are a new student, you will receive a username and password when you create your myWCS account. If you work or attend Western (staff, faculty, students and alumni) use your Western Identity to login.

You can then apply for financial assistance through your OSAP account according to application availability. 

BURSARIES AND AWARDS

Through the generosity of donors, individual and corporate, Western Continuing Studies offers several bursaries and awards to students enrolled in our programs.

EMPLOYER EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE

Some employers will cover the course of professional development courses. Check with your employer to see if your educational fees will be covered.

Western Employees 

Eligible employees at Western are provided with an educational assistance plan to pursue professional development as per their employee agreement. Many Continuing Studies courses qualify for advanced or reimbursed funding through Western’s Educational Assistance Plan administered by Western Human Resources.

Through a partnership with Human Resources (HR), Western Continuing Studies offers advanced funding to eligible Western employees for enrollment in courses pertinent to professional development.
