Think Different with Design Thinking!
“Design is a really loaded word. I don’t know what it means. So we don’t talk a lot about design around here, we just talk about how things work. Most people think it’s about how they look, but it’s about how they work” – Steve Jobs
If you are an Apple customer, you probably remember the first time you used one of their products – How it felt, how easy it was to use and how it made you feel. Rather than focusing on features and product capabilities, Apple focuses on a holistic user experience. That experience is the essence of design thinking.
What is design thinking?
It’s an innovation method for achieving creative solutions. The process is powered by empathy, leading design thinkers to develop a deep understanding of their users’ needs, desires and frustrations. Design thinking guides innovators to envision, build and deliver a more user friendly experience.
From education to health care, the performing arts, engineering, social services and human relations, from manufacturing to retail and everything in between, design thinking is being used across cultural, academic and business sectors.
Design thinking helps organizations to stay competitive by offering products, services and experiences that solve real user problems.
