Overview

This is a Western University accredited Diploma program. The program combines 10 courses taken from September to April with a four-month work integrated learning placement from May to August. 

Duration: One year, full-time or two years, part-time

The practicum component of our Diploma programs is a culmination of your work in the classroom and the bridge to a great career in your target industry. Gain valuable hands-on experience with mentorship from industry professionals, uniting theory and practice in the real world of work. Students must successfully complete all ten required courses and the practicum placement in order to satisfy program requirements and graduate with a Diploma in Public Relations.

Note: Program fees do not include any costs for class materials such as textbooks and software. Ancillary fees are an approximation, calculate your fees here.

Domestic Requirements: Undergraduate Degree, with a minimum average of 70% in the last two years of study.

International Requirements: A minimum overall average of 70% (around a B- or 2.7 GPA) in your Bachelor's degree as calculated by Western and after translation to Canadian GPA. An IELTS score of 7.0 overall with no score under 6.5.

International: Bachelor's degree (3 or 4 years) with a minimum overall average of 70% (around a B- or 2.7 GPA) as calculated by Western in your bachelor's degree.

English Language Proficiency: IELTS of 7.0 overall with no individual score under 6.5, or equivalent in TOEFL or Duolingo examinations.

Note: waivers are offered to students who graduated from a University in an English-speaking country or who have studied in Canada for 2 or more years.
