Description

This course introduces the concepts, principles and applications of managing projects. You will explore organizational and project systems to develop an awareness of factors that affect managing projects. The knowledge gained in this course is pivotal to vocabulary and concept building in all other courses.

What You Will Learn

At the completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Develop a statement of work
  • Design and build their own Work Breakdown Structure
  • Understand and build a schedule using critical path methodology
  • Develop a project cost baseline

What to Expect

This course is offered in class and online. There is a reasonable amount of work involved outside the classroom. Textbooks are required, and reading will be assigned on a regular basis.
