In Class

This course will provide you with the opportunity to learn about seven religious traditions: Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Shinto. This course can be used as a credit for those individuals who have been enrolled, and already completed courses, in the Huron University College Lay Certificate.

What to Expect

This is an interactive course, which includes lectures, discussion and on-site visits.

The course will be an informal learning environment where we can all share our experiences and together cultivate a common language whereby religion in general as well as particular religions can be discussed in a respectful and honest forum.

There are no prerequisites required. Please come prepared to share your experiences, opinions and perspectives with the class

I would highly recommend this course and instructor to others.

I signed up for Eastern Traditions because I was so impressed with Janet as an instructor for Western Traditions.  She provides a comfortable setting for learning and makes it interesting and enjoyable.
