How this program works
This program consists of several areas identified by Western Continuing Studies as keys to success for any manager in a not-for-profit organization. Each two-day seminar is facilitated by an individual with experience and expertise in the subject and working knowledge of the not-for-profit sector. Our facilitators bring unique experiences and perspectives that participants can relate to while they learn.

I enjoy teaching adult learners because of the diverse backgrounds that they bring to the classroom. This diversity leads to a more enriching learning environment for everyone – including myself. Together we are able to share experiences, giving the class a more comprehensive view of the non-profit sector. Through curriculum and collaboration, learners are often able to find solutions to real time issues they may be having in their own organizations.
Teaching at Continuing Studies is a challenging and rewarding experience. I am continually seeking out new ideas, trends and best practices for curriculum which ultimately enhances my own development and keeps me passionate about my field and the non-profit sector.
