PEDORTHICS: Bridging Program

Western University offers an alternative basis of admission to the Diploma in Pedorthics for students without a Kinesiology degree. 

The bridging program provides an alternative path for students with science-related backgrounds who do not meet the regular admission requirements.

This comprehensive four-month online program covers the requirements necessary to proceed the Diploma in Pedorthics by offering the following core competencies: Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Systemic Functional Anatomy and Introduction to Athletic Injuries, preparing students who do not have a Kinesiology degree to enroll in the Diploma in Pedorthics. 

To proceed to the Diploma in Pedorthics program, students must obtain 70% or higher in the course, with no single unit grade below 60%. The online Diploma in Pedorthics will begin in September after completing the Pedorthics Bridging program.
