Western Continuing Studies Management Certificates now accredited through NCMA

By Nicole Laidler

Western Continuing Studies is excited to announce that our Professional Certificate in Business Management and Professional Certificate in Public Sector Management (Western Employees) are now nationally accredited through the National Centre for Management Accreditation (NCMA).

“These accreditations recognize Western Continuing Studies as a leader in business and management education,” says Karen De Heus, Program Support Manager, WCS. “It speaks to the quality of our programs.”

Students enrolled in these newly-accredited programs are now eligible for free Associate Membership with the Canadian Institute of Management (CIM) / Chartered Managers Canada. Benefits of membership include access to professional development, mentorship and networking opportunities, as well as numerous affinity programs.

In addition, program graduates will meet the academic requirements of the Chartered Management Program (CMP), allowing them to seamlessly pursue two internationally-recognized CMP professional designations – Certified in Management (C.I.M.)  or Chartered Manager (C. Mgr.).

“These designations are internationally recognized,” De Heus notes. “They help graduates build their career skills and strengthen their employment potential.”
