Learning Experience Team (LET)

Our Learning Experience Team works with all portfolios to support both instructors and learners. LET work with you on the administration and planning logistics for your course. Contact LET for questions such as textbook orders, classrooms, audio-visual equipment, photocopying, course evaluations, submission of marks or other services related to the coordination of your course.

Raven Allen

Program Assistant

Raven has a unique role at WCS, supporting instructors and students. Raven’s time is split between assisting instructors to ensure they are prepared for teaching and learner support. She manages day-to-day instructor requests, reviews and approves course outlines, creates online course sites through Western’s LMS, OWL, and issues teaching contracts, class rescheduling and accommodations. Raven also supports our learners, assisting with course and program progression, registration, course set up and website updates.

Program Assistant

The Program Assistant plays an important role in ensuring you are prepared for teaching. They manage the day- to-day instructor requests, reviews and approves course outlines, creates online course sites through Western’s LMS, OWL, manages textbook and case study orders, issues teaching contracts, class rescheduling and accommodations. The Program Assistant heads up new instructors onboarding and ongoing instructor training. They also has the ability to assist our learners with any course or program questions they may have.

Program Assistant

The Program Assistant is the first point of contact for our learners. They support our learners, assisting with course and program progression, registration, course setup, and website updates. The Program Assistant also manages our classrooms ensuring that our space is ready for your in-person class. They administer course and instructor surveys and is also well versed in OWL and is ready to help answer any technical questions for our students.

Karen De Heus

Program Support Manager

Karen leads and manages the Learning Experience team. She oversees the day-to-day operations of instructors, students and classrooms while managing the WCS registration database and website. She often provides support and direction to instructors and students that require escalation beyond our Learning Support Team. Karen leads the Learning Experience Team in the preparation of going teaching support as you teach your course with WCS.
