Post-Degree Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Management

If you’re interested in improving workplace safety, reducing risks, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, the Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Program is the perfect choice. This program is designed to help you become a key player in managing workplace safety and health concerns, from risk assessments to regulatory compliance and emergency response planning.  

This program fulfills the education requirement from the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP), for those interested in obtaining the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification.

Program: Ten required courses

Full-Time Duration: Eight months

Part-Time Duration: Two years

Start: September or January

Location: Online or In Person 

Canadian Registered Safety Professional CRSP® Designation: This program is recognized as an approved academic program for the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP®) designation.

 Application Fee $100 (non-refundable) 
 Western Ancillary Fees $1500
 Domestic Tuition $7500 
 International Tuition $20,000

Admission Requirements: Undergraduate Degree in health sciences, engineering, environmental science, management and organizational studies, or a related field, with a minimum average of 70% in the last two years of study

International Requirements: A minimum overall average of 70% (around a B- or 2.7 GPA) in your Bachelor's degree in health sciences, engineering, environmental science, management and organizational studies, or a related field, as calculated by Western and after translation to Canadian GPA.
