Post-Degree Certificate in Human Resources

The Human Resources Certificate Program offers a comprehensive foundation in HR practices, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and organizational development. Tailored for those currently in the workforce, this program equips you with both the technical skills and the strategic thinking required to effectively manage human capital. 

This program is aligned with the coursework requirements for the CHRP and CHRL designations from the Human Resources Professionals Association.

Designed specifically for working professionals, this credit-bearing program provides the knowledge and practical skills needed to advance your career and obtain a CHRP/CHRL designation.

Program: Ten required courses

Full-Time Duration: Eight months

Part-Time Duration: Two years

Start: September or January

Location: Online or In Person

CHRP and CHRL Designation: This Diploma is recognized by the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) and meet course requirements towards CHRP/CHRL designations.

Domestic Requirements: Undergraduate Degree, with a minimum average of 70% in the last two years of study.

International Requirements: A minimum overall average of 70% (around a B- or 2.7 GPA) in your Bachelor's degree as calculated by Western and after translation to Canadian GPA.
