Discuss the creation, management and execution of events for not-for-profit organizations. Develop varied skills including event budgeting, promotion, teamwork and evaluation through a combined emphasis on theoretical frameworks and practical application.

What to Expect

This is an interactive course; you will engage online with your class and instructor through our online learning management system. Plan to log into your course regularly throughout the week. 

This is a full year course. The first half of this course in the Fall term will be held online. The schedule for the second half of this course in the Winter term is TBA.

You can expect approximately six hours of work per week for discussions, readings, assignments, exams/quizzes and other course requirements.

Completion Requirements

This is a graded course. Evaluation will be based on any combination of participation, exams/quizzes and assignments.
